In my experience bass often respond to lures that incorporate pink and/or purple as part of their dominant colour scheme. This one has just that … the colour is called “Fat Betty” and it’s a definite winner.
It’s a floating lure which has a tight action and quickly dives to it’s swim depth of around 1 meter and equally quickly moves back toward the surface on the pause.
If you do get snagged up it’s best to leave the line a little loose and flick the rod tip hopefully until the hooks release allowing the lure to rise away from the snag.
