This is my take on a truly floating version of a dragon fly nymph that I was introduced to when I was preparing for the 2016 Commonwealth Fly Fishing Championships in Canada.
Once wet this fly sits in the surface much like an emerging natural and can be retrieved with a staggered retrieve creating a very realistic wake, can be fished in conjunction with a sinking fly and retrieved from the depths or can even take the place of a booby.
