Hi Frank, somehow I missed your enquiry … my apologies for that. It’s a long time since I have actually caught carp and when I did it was always as a by catch when targeting bass. The last place that happened was Lake Yarrunga on the south coat of NSW and on that occasion the challenge was actually keeping my poppers in the zone long enough for bass to get a look in. Anyway you have peaked my interest so I am going to have a yarn to some of the guys from Southern Bass that I still spend time with and over this winter I’ll publish my findings.
