Because Threadfin Salmon live in dirty water and have poor eyesight they have to rely on sensing prey with their very sensitive feelers so whatever bait you decide to use make sure that even at a slow speed they will be active with heaps of vibrations even when retrieved at a slow speed.
This is a lure I have added to my Coastal and estuary lure box particularly for barred grunter. Grunter turn up in our estuaries and rivers during summer and will often stay there until heavy rain makes it too dirty for their liking. In times of low rain they may stay in their summer abode right through winter.
The elongated tail gives it a tight shimmer vibration when it moves through the water, perfectly mimicking the baitfish. It’s made from durable 10x super stretch material, with Japanese premium wire for strength. Perfect for drawing in predators.
The Jackall Transam 95mm weighs 20g and is the first vibe that I caught barra on in Central Queensland and it is still my favorite. It sinks quickly and has a really tight vibration at a range of speeds.
Made from TPE soft plastic material and with very strong hardware it’s more than up to handling big barra. Keep in mind that TPE soft plastics have to be stored away from traditional plastasol soft plastics and ZMan soft plastics that are made from their propriety soft plastic “plastec”.
